A FOOD MANAGER/TABC/COVID-19 AWARENESS CERTIFICATE- A VALUABLE SIGN OF ACCOMPLISHMENT

Anyone who is in charge of the day-to-day operations in a place that serves food to the public, such as a restaurant, bar, food truck, or hospital, must hold a Food Manager Certificate to show they understand food safety. Additionally, anyone who handles and serves alcohol on their job would benefit from a TABC certificate. Not only will it help you understand the law, but it can help your employer avoid fines and legal troubles. This COVID-19 Awareness Training will give you guidelines to follow in your food establishment to prevent the spread of this virus.

HOW IS A FOOD MANAGER/TABC/COVID-19 AWARENESS CERTIFICATE USED?

Holding a Food Manager Certificate shows employers that you understand food safety and health regulations and have the knowledge needed to oversee food handling and processing operations. Employers can check your certificate status through our online system.

Holding a TABC Certificate is a requirement for most employers, though is it not required by law. Completing a TABC Seller-Server Training course will show your employer that you have taken the time to learn the laws that govern the sale of alcohol.

When applying for jobs, you may call yourself a "Responsible Training Food Manager Certificate Recipient". You can refer to your "Responsible Training Food Manager Certificate" on your resume.

You may not say or imply that you are "certified," "certificated," "licensed," "registered" or "accredited"; these terms indicate a different type of program than food manager training.

FOR HOW LONG IS THE CERTIFICATE VALID?

Your food manager certificate is valid for 5 years. This information will be printed on your certificate and may be checked by using our online verification program. The TABC Certificate is valid for 2 years from the date of completion. Your COVID-19 Awareness Certificate has no expiration date.
